Dr. Jennifer Jenson is Professor of Digital Languages, Literacies, and Cultures in the Department of Language and Literacy, Faculty of Education, The University of British Columbia. She is currently co-editor of Loading: The Journal of the Canadian Game Studies Association and past-President of the Canadian Game Studies Association.
She has published on gender, technology and digital games, games and learning, technology policy and policy practices in K-12 learning in Canada, and on online and blended learning in post-secondary education. She was first appointed to York University in 2001 as one of four Technology Enhanced Learning Chairs. She moved to UBC in January of 2019. During her nearly two-decades career, she has secured continuous external research funding, and currently is lead of an international, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada funded Partnership Grant, Re-Figuring Innovation in Games (www.refig.ca).
